SPA PARENTS

Membership Committee: Handles registration, new member orientation, and communications to the membership throughout the year
 Creates and maintains phone tree for member notification of immediate schedule or practice change, i.e. heater not working, so dry land only; pool chemical problems, etc.  This committee could also be helpful in welcoming new families to USA Swimming and helping them find information, etc.
 
Facilities/Equipment Committee: Ensures adequate practice facilities (heaters and aerators included), ensures appropriate meet facilities, maintains equipment needed for practice (clocks, lane line, flags) and obtains the trailer of equipment needed for SPA hosted meets and sets up the equipment at the pool for SPA hosted meets.  Tarp storage and delivery. 
 
Special Events Committee:  Organizes team parties, awards dinners, travel trips, publicity, and SPA apparel needs/sales & coach appreciation dayJ. Social activities for groups and end of season activities, Mardi Gras festivities etc.
 
Fundraising Committee:  Sets the fundraising goals for the year and the calendar of fundraising events to meet these goals. This can be both short range & long range goals.
 
Meet Operations Committee:  Enlists parental support for staffing needs at SPA hosted meets and the timing responsibilities at non-SPA hosted meets. This includes team parents who fulfill our officiating responsibilities. This also includes all the meet job leads.
